Ministering to the Three-Year-Olds
Because of the limited space in the toddler room, we must have these children move up as soon as they turn three. Again when there is a size difference the younger ones could get hurt with the play of an older child. In order for a young person to move up to the three-year-old class, they must be able to sit for lessons and projects, follow directions and be potty trained. A little person who is close to three and is able to do these things can come to the three-year-old room. This can be a great help with our space limitations.
The purpose of this ministry is not only to "watch your children," but to address their needs and to "feed" these little lambs, building on the foundation you've laid at home.
Concerning their physical needs, communication is vital. Be sure to communicate any special needs your child might have to the person in charge of the room. When you come to church you are still the parents. Anticipate your child's needs and come prepared with anything your little one might need.
