Calvary Chapel Christian School (CCCS) was founded in September of 1987 as an education ministry to serve the members of Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes (CCFL). Later, the purpose was expanded to include Christian families who do not fellowship at CCFL. The school was initially set up to include grades K through 3rd. Through the years, additional grades were progressively added, until our first high school graduation was realized in June 2001. Eight more graduations followed. At the end of the 2008-2009 school year, under the direction of our Lord, it was determined that CCCS should scale back to again be a grade school and focus on the youngest hearts in the grades K through 5th.
Calvary Chapel Christian School is an outreach ministry of Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes. It is our purpose to provide a Christ-centered, Bible-based, academically excellent education for all children who attend. We seek to teach our students to live godly lives and to prepare them to be faithful servants of Jesus Christ.
- CCCS is the Lord’s school where each staff member is born-again, Spirit-filled, and strives to live a life in accordance to God’s Word.
- Every subject is taught through a Biblical perspective. We are a part of God’s creation; all knowledge and wisdom come from Him.
- The spiritual needs of the students are our first priority! Having a right relationship with Jesus Christ is the ideal setting for academic achievement and growth.
- Our class sizes lend themselves to individualized attention.
- Numerous parent volunteers make our school very special as well!
Students receive instruction daily from God’s Word. Our textbook is the Bible itself; taught "line upon line" as led by the Holy Spirit. Most other subjects utilize books and materials from Christian publishers, such as A Beka and Bob Jones University Press.
Local school districts will provide bus transportation to our students if they live within 15 miles of CCCS. A written request must be submitted to your school district’s transportation department by April 1st for the coming fall.
